If you've been following my recent crime reports, you'll be aware that elderly and vulnerable residents have been targeted by a male and female operating in local car parks.

The pair approach unsuspecting victims who have just parked and falsely inform them that they need to paid for parking. They then escort the victim to a cash machine, observe them entering their PIN, and subsequently steal their bank card.

They have been reported in the car parks of ASDA, Tesco, Sainsbury's and the Premier Inn.

The male has been described as either Asian or mixed race and is reported to wear a high-visibility jacket and face mask. The female has been described as mixed race.

We are actively looking for these individuals. If you see anyone matching these descriptions, please report it immediately. There is a police office located inside the ASDA mall, and security staff are present at all of the supermarkets mentioned.

Assault / Public Order

13/06/2026 – ASDA
A Deliveroo driver allegedly assaulted a member of staff after becoming frustrated when he was unable to collect an order. The staff member involved was not working inside the store at the time and was loading his own delivery vehicle.

Burglary

11/06/2026 – Alpine Way
Three individuals broke into a restaurant on Alpine Way. The investigation is ongoing.

Violence / Anti-Social Behaviour

16/06/2026 – Beckton Park
A group of teenagers followed another teenager through Beckton Park. They attempted to provoke him into a fight and pushed him during the incident.

Theft

11/06/2026 – Premier Inn / ASDA
An elderly woman was approached by the two car park scammers and escorted to the cash machines at ASDA. Fortunately, they were unsuccessful in obtaining cash from her account.

11/06/2026 – Tesco, Gallions Reach
Another elderly woman was targeted and exploited by the same offenders.

12/06/2026 – Dunnock Road, E6
Clothing was stolen from a washing line.

Theft from Motor Vehicles

11/06/2026 – Savage Gardens
Vehicle number plates were stolen.

12/06/2026 – Northumberland Road
A vehicle was broken into and perfume, sunglasses, and a camera were stolen.

13/06/2026 – Angelica Drive
Vehicle number plates were stolen.

14/06/2026 – Strait Road
Vehicle number plates were stolen.

Theft of a Motor Vehicle

12/06/2026 – Latham Close
A blue Suzuki was stolen.
